Regional alerts stress public safety as missile, drone interceptions continue
Residents urged to avoid debris and follow emergency safety protocols

Several Middle Eastern countries have issued urgent public safety advisories as of March 1, 2026, following widespread missile and drone interception operations across the region.
Authorities in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have urged residents to exercise caution and strictly follow safety instructions, particularly regarding unidentified objects or debris that may fall after aerial interceptions.
Officials warned the public not to approach or touch any unknown objects or metallic fragments, as they may contain unexploded ordnance, hazardous materials, or unstable components that could pose serious risks.
Residents were also advised to seek immediate shelter during active alerts, moving into secure buildings and staying away from windows, doors and open areas that may be exposed to falling debris.
In the event debris is discovered, authorities stressed the importance of maintaining a safe distance and promptly reporting the location to emergency services.
In Kuwait, residents should follow Ministry of Interior emergency updates; in the UAE, instructions issued by national emergency authorities must be observed; while in Qatar, reports should be made through emergency number 999.
Officials across the region emphasized that public awareness and adherence to safety guidelines remain essential to protecting lives during ongoing security developments.
