Mongolia Congratulates Kuwait on National and Liberation Days
On behalf of the people and the Government of Mongolia. I extend my warmest congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, the Government, and the friendly people of the State of Kuwait on the auspicious occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the National Day and the 35th Anniversary of the Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait
Mongolia attaches great importance to the relations and cooperations with the State of Kuwait and we feel proud and honoured that Mongolia was among the first countries to denounce the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990 and to stand firmly in solidarity with our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters during that critical time.
Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the State of Kuwait. The milestone was celebrated with due solemnity in the State of Kuwait through the organization of a grand reception, a Mongolian traditional food showcase, and the “Legend of Nomads” Mongolian cultural concert.
The relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the State of Kuwait have been steadily strengthening in recent years in the field of trade, economy, investment, agriculture, culture, sports, tourism and road and transport marked by the commencement of meat and meat product exports from Mongolia to the State of Kuwait, the signing of an Air Services Agreement establishing the legal framework for the launch of direct flights between the two countries, and the conclusion of a veterinary certificate facilitating the export of livestock from Mongolia to the State of Kuwait.
Mongolia stands ready to seize every opportunity to promote more frequent high-level exchanges and expand practical cooperation across a wide range of fields, including civil aviation, economy, agriculture, meat export, culture, education, trade, investment, and tourism. We also look forward to strengthening people-to-people ties and elevating our bilateral cooperation to an “Expanded Partnership” in our shared effort to take relations between our two countries to a new and higher level.
Taking this opportunity, I wish the State of Kuwait and its friendly people continued stability, progress, and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
