Sheikh Fahad visits correctional facilities, shares Ramadan ‘Iftar’ with inmates

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, paid a visit to the correctional facilities, where he met with several inmates and shared the Ramadan breakfast with them, reflecting his commitment to strengthen human connection and sharing the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month.

During the visit, he stressed that Ramadan represents an important spiritual opportunity to promote values of tolerance, repentance, and self-reform.

He encouraged the inmates to make use of these blessed days for reflection and positive change, emphasizing that such efforts would help improve their chances of successful reintegration into society after completing their sentences, reports Al-Rai daily.

The visit was attended by senior officials from the correctional sector, including the Head of the Special Security and Correctional Institutions Sector, Brigadier General Dakhil Ahmed Al-Dakhil, and the Director General of Correctional Institutions, Brigadier General Osama Majid Al-Majid, along with several security leaders.

During the visit Sheikh Fahad was also briefed on ongoing work mechanisms and rehabilitation programs provided to inmates.

He highlighted the importance of continuously developing reform and rehabilitation systems in line with the highest professional and humanitarian standards, affirming the approach adopted by the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait to enhance correctional and rehabilitation services.
