Nazaha honors 24 Govt entities advancing integrity standards under ‘Performance’ initiative

The Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced that 24 entities have successfully completed the requirements of the gold, silver, and bronze phases of the “Performance” project, aimed at activating the code of conduct for public sector employees.
This announcement came during Nazaha’s third “Performance” conference, held on Monday, with representatives from numerous government agencies in attendance.
The conference honored the entities that successfully completed the requirements of these phases and advanced to the next stage. Nazaha Chairman Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim stated in his address that the conference underscores the continuity of this initiative and reflects a commitment to monitoring the implementation of codes of conduct, evaluating achievements, and building upon them to enhance integrity, combat corruption, and solidify trust in institutional performance as a key element of governance in state institutions.
Al-Ibrahim added that the “Performance” program stems from the National Strategy for Promoting Integrity and Combating Corruption and is considered one of the initiatives related to the public sector.
“Therefore,” he said, “we urge all entities to participate in the program and strive through it to activate codes of conduct. We hope this conference marks a significant milestone, as we honor the participating entities today for meeting the program’s requirements and advancing to the next phase.”
He explained that meeting these requirements “demonstrates the intensive efforts of the work teams and the keenness of the leaders of the participating entities in providing support to the teams, which resulted in meeting the requirements.”
For his part, Captain Abdulmohsen Al-Fuqaan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways, praised the role played by the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) in raising awareness and strengthening the anti-corruption system, noting that this represents a fundamental pillar in supporting the institutional development process and achieving national goals.
Al-Fuqaan said that, based on its role as the national carrier of the State of Kuwait, Kuwait Airways believes that adherence to professional and ethical values is not merely a regulatory framework, but rather an integrated work approach that enhances institutional trust, raises the level of performance, and keeps pace with the state’s aspirations towards promoting good corporate governance and preventing corruption.
It is worth mentioning that some of the entities participating in the “Performance” project to activate the code of conduct for public sector employees presented visual presentations during the conference to share their experience with the project and the impact of its implementation.
