Nazaha holds workshop to boost compliance with financial disclosure law
83 Government agencies take part; liaison officers trained on compliance and reporting deadlines as Nazaha raises awareness on financial declaration obligations

The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) organized an awareness workshop for liaison officers from 83 government agencies, focusing on financial disclosure statements and compliance with legal obligations under Law No. 2 of 2016.
The workshop aimed to raise understanding of financial disclosure requirements and the categories of individuals obligated to submit declarations, including public officials, their minor children, and any persons acting as guardians, trustees, or custodians of their assets — covering cash, real estate, movable assets, rights, debts, and authorizations with financial impact both inside and outside Kuwait reports Al-Rai daily.

Officials from Nazaha highlighted the responsibilities of liaison officers within their entities, including assisting those required to submit declarations and providing reminders of legal deadlines through the Authority’s website and the Sahl application.
The workshop covered the types of declarations, steps for submission, and penalties for late filing, ensuring participants understood both the legal framework and the practical support services offered by Nazaha.
By strengthening awareness and compliance, the Authority aims to reinforce transparency, accountability, and adherence to the country’s anti-corruption laws across the government sector.
