‘Check before you sign’: KFF launches online license verification for businesses
The service is available via www.kff.gov.kw, under the ‘Public Services – Prevention Sector’ section

The Kuwait Fire Force has introduced a new electronic inquiry service allowing individuals and business owners to check the licensing status of establishments before renting or using their units.
The service, accessible through the department’s official website, aims to enhance safety, reduce violations, and streamline the investment process.
Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Fire Department, told Al-Rai that the initiative demonstrates the force’s commitment to regulating licensing procedures and facilitating the journey of investors and entrepreneurs.
He emphasized that verifying a facility’s license status is a critical step before signing lease agreements or starting business activities, warning that failure to do so could result in legal violations and financial losses.
“Some beneficiaries may begin preparing their activities and paying rent before verifying the legal status of the establishment, which may prevent them from obtaining the license and lead to penalties,” Brig. Al-Gharib explained.
The service is available via www.kff.gov.kw, under the “Public Services – Prevention Sector” section. Users can select the ‘Inquire about the building permit for the plot’ service and enter the automated address number of the unit or establishment. The license status then appears immediately on the screen, indicating whether it is valid, expired, or unlicensed.
Brig. Al-Gharib encouraged all investors and business owners to utilize this service to ensure compliance with approved preventive measures and to contribute to a safe and organized investment environment.
