The Dermatology Department of the Jaber Hospital, headed by Dr. Mohammed Al-Otaibi, organized an awareness event titled “Your Skin in Ramadan” as part of the hospital’s commitment to promoting public health awareness and highlighting best practices for maintaining healthy skin during the holy month.
The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, along with Jaber Hospital Director Dr. Nada Al-Hassan, several health leaders, physicians, specialists, patients, and members of the public, reports Al-Rai daily.

The program covered a range of key awareness topics, including the effects of fasting on skin health, ways to prevent dehydration, the importance of proper nutrition and fluid intake, and medical guidance on managing common skin conditions during Ramadan.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Otaibi said the event forms part of the department’s strategy to enhance health education. He noted that the initiative aims to provide simplified and reliable medical information to help community members care for their skin during Ramadan, particularly in light of changes in diet and daily routines. This, he said, helps prevent many skin problems and improves overall quality of life.
He added that the Dermatology Department will continue organizing awareness programs and community initiatives as part of its medical and humanitarian role in supporting public health and promoting a culture of health awareness.
The event is one of a series of initiatives organized by Jaber Hospital, reflecting its commitment to comprehensive healthcare, community partnership, and supporting the Ministry of Health’s efforts to raise health awareness levels.
