
Cricket Hong Kong, China and Kuwait Cricket are set to further strengthen their growing partnership with the launch of the Bauhinia Falcon Trophy, scheduled to be played in Hong Kong from 25 February to 7 March 2026.
The bilateral series will feature four T20 Internationals and three One-Day matches, marking a significant milestone in the competitive calendar of both nations. The tour builds on the landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Kuwait Cricket and Hong Kong Cricket in July 2025, aimed at fostering long-term collaboration and development.
The Bauhinia Falcon Trophy derives its name from symbols representing both nations and reflects the fierce, competitive, and spirited rivalry that has developed between the two teams in recent years. Beyond the men’s series, the alliance is designed to promote broader cooperation, with a strong focus on the development of women’s and junior cricket, coaching exchanges, and high-performance opportunities.
This series reaffirms the shared vision of both boards to grow the game across Asia, provide international exposure to players, and strengthen cricketing ties through regular, meaningful competition.
Kuwait Cricket and Cricket Hong Kong, China look forward to an exciting and competitive series that celebrates rivalry, friendship, and the future of the sport.
S Gandhi, Director of Cricket Hong Kong, China said; “Kuwait and Hong Kong, China have shared a great rivalry in recent years with competitive cricket matches between the two teams, with only 1 ranking point difference between the two team, the series promises to be exciting and one of the most competitive games played in Hong Kong. Kuwait did well being runners-up at HK Sixes 2025 and will be confident of taking on a Hong Kong team fresh from Asia Cup and being crowned Plate Champions at the HK Sixes in November 2025.
