Ministry of Education suspends seven teachers for serious ethical violations
Firm action taken to protect students and uphold teaching integrity

The Ministry of Education has issued decisions to suspend from work seven male and female teachers for three months and referred them for investigation, citing serious violations involving ethics and integrity of the teaching profession.
This move is based on the directives from the Minister of Education Engineer Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei and reflects the ministry’s commitment to preserving the prestige of education, promoting job discipline, and reinforcing principles of integrity and responsibility.
The ministry explained three teachers were found guilty of publishing trial versions of new curriculum books online before official approval, a direct breach of regulations and a violation of the professional standards expected of educators, reports Al-Rai daily.
Additionally, two female teachers were suspended for unbecoming conduct within school premises, behaviors that contradict the moral and educational values expected of teachers and undermine the example educators should set for their students.
The remaining two teachers faced suspension for physically assaulting students, an act described by the ministry as “completely unacceptable” and contrary to basic educational principles, laws, and student rights.
The ministry emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for violations that compromise the dignity of the teaching profession or the noble mission of education. It affirmed that the law will be applied firmly and fairly to all, ensuring the protection of learners’ rights and reinforcing public confidence in the educational system.
A ministry spokesperson noted that these cases are individual incidents and do not reflect the conduct of the majority of teachers, who diligently carry out their educational mission with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to shaping future generations.
The ministry reiterated that teachers serve as role models, with responsibilities that extend beyond knowledge transmission to include exemplary behavior, values, and discipline. Any breach of this responsibility is unacceptable under any circumstances.
Finally, the Ministry of Education reaffirmed its continued commitment to maintaining a safe and disciplined educational environment, thereby protecting the dignity of the profession and reinforcing the teacher’s role as a cornerstone of society.
