CID men seize 10 kilos of heroin and crystal meth worth KD 200,000
. . . Asian suspect in police custody

The Directorate-General for Drug Control has seized a large quantity of narcotics — approximately 10 kilograms of high-purity heroin and crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as “shabu”), with an estimated market value of around 200,000 dinars.
Specialized drug enforcement teams arrested an Asian believed to be running an organized criminal network for smuggling and distributing illegal drugs in the country.
Investigations revealed he was allegedly receiving instructions from an accomplice abroad, described as a major drug trafficker currently sought internationally, reports Al-Rai daily.
At the time of his arrest, authorities found 6 kgs of heroin and 4 kgs of crystal meth prepared for distribution. Following the initial seizure, security personnel carried out a search of the suspect’s residence and discovered a makeshift drug-mixing laboratory equipped with hazardous tools and chemicals used to adulterate heroin — a tactic aimed at increasing volume and profit, but which poses serious safety risks.
Officials also confiscated four precision scales of various sizes used to weigh narcotics for distribution.
The suspect, together with the seized drugs and equipment, has been referred to the competent legal authorities for prosecution and further judicial action
