Kuwait Municipality unveils comprehensive cleaning plan amidst national day celebrations
As the 63rd National Day and 33rd Liberation Day approach, the Kuwait Municipality has unveiled a comprehensive plan to ensure sparkling cleanliness throughout the festivities.
This proactive initiative kicked off, February 5th, and will run through the entire month.
The plan involves crews diligently cleaning all designated celebration locations and event spaces.
The Municipality is taking a firm stance against unlicensed activities on state property, emphasizing adherence to proper licensing procedures.
Frequent inspections shall be conducted by regulatory bodies, keeping a watchful eye on street vendors and ensuring compliance with regulations.
The Municipality emphasised that anyone found in breach of regulations will face fines and legal action, implying the importance of responsible participation in the celebrations.
“Maintaining the cleanliness of our public spaces, streets, and squares is a national responsibility,” the Municipality stressed in a statement.
They encouraged everyone to join hands in curbing any negative behaviors that may detract from the celebratory spirit.
The plan is already in action, with successful initial efforts including the meticulous cleaning of public facilities, the coastal strip, and designated celebration areas.
A dedicated team of 350 cleaners, supported by 19 sweepers, 18 lorries, 22 additional sweepers, and hundreds of waste containers, is ensuring a spotless environment.
Additionally, 90 cleaners are strategically positioned at security checkpoints to maintain order and hygiene.
By implementing this comprehensive plan, the Kuwait Municipality aims to foster a clean and enjoyable environment for all citizens and residents to celebrate the national occasions with pride and unity.
