Fire destroys workers accommodation, no injuries reported
Firefighting teams contained and extinguished a fire that broke out in workers’ accommodation chalets in the Al-Riqqa area at dawn on Wednesday. No injuries have been reported.
The Kuwait Fire Force said emergency crews from the Shuwaikh Industrial, Ardhiya, and Support Fire Centers were immediately dispatched to the site upon receiving a report by the operations department and managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread further, reports Al-Rai daily.
Necessary safety measures have been taken at the site, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
The authority reiterated its call for strict adherence to fire safety regulations, particularly in worker housing and temporary accommodation facilities, to prevent similar incidents in the future.
