Kuwait’s weather forecast for next 48 hours

The Meteorological Department reported that the country is being affected by a cold air wave, with chances of fog formation and intermittent cloud cover, noting that weather conditions over the weekend will be mild to cool during the daytime and cold at night.

Acting Director of the department, Dharar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the extension of a surface high-pressure system accompanied by a cold and humid air mass. Winds are expected to be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate in speed, with the possibility of fog forming in some areas, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Ali said scattered clouds are expected, along with a chance of fog in the evening. Maximum temperatures will range between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius, while sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 5 feet.

Al-Ali said Saturday the weather will be cool and partly cloudy, with light to moderate northwesterly winds ranging between 12 and 38 kilometers per hour.

Maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, while sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves between 2 and 5 feet.

He noted that Saturday night will be cold to very cold, with light to moderate northwesterly winds that may become active at times over coastal areas, ranging between 15 and 45 kilometers per hour.

Minimum temperatures are expected to drop to between 4 and 6 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be slight to moderate, with waves occasionally rising to between 2 and 6 feet.
