MoJ regulates court fees, sets new charges for copies and certificates, half-dinar per page

The Ministry of Justice has issued a new administrative circular amending and regulating court fees and the work mechanism of court clerks at the Court of First Instance, as part of efforts to organize procedures and ensure uniform application of regulations.

Under the circular, a fee of half a dinar will be imposed on each page of a copy of a judgment requested by non-litigants.

The same fee will apply to each page requested by litigants after they have received their first copy of the judgment. In addition, a fee of one dinar will be charged for certificates and copies of case documents requested by litigants or others relating to the progress of a case or the judgment issued therein, reports Al-Jarida daily

The circular clarified the mechanism for collecting fees, stipulating that the original copy of the judgment is to be granted free of charge to the opposing party for the first time.

Subsequent copies requested by litigants, as well as copies requested by non-litigants, will be subject to a fee of half a dinar per page.

It further specified a fee of one dinar for issuing a certificate of the wording of a judgment, one dinar for a certificate of registration of a lawsuit or document, and one dinar for photocopying the entire case file.

The Ministry stressed that any violation of the instructions contained in the circular will expose the violator to legal and administrative accountability. It added that the provisions of the circular came into force as of December 23, 2025.
