Al-Huwailah on surprise visit to Sabahiya Shelter Center

Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah affirmed her commitment to closely monitoring the needs of persons with disabilities and ensuring the quality of care provided to them.

Her remarks came during a surprise field visit on Saturday to the shelter center in the Sabahiya area, conducted as part of her ongoing follow-up on workflow and to verify employees’ adherence to the approved shift system.

During the visit, Dr. Al-Huwailah was briefed on the center’s conditions and operational procedures. She met with a number of employees to ensure their readiness and presence at their workplaces, and reviewed the level of services provided to residents of the center, reports Al-Rai daily.

She also checked on individual cases and the availability of the necessary care, stressing the importance of proper treatment, prompt response, and the provision of the highest standards of humanitarian and social services.

Dr. Al-Huwailah further directed that family visits for residents be organized in a manner that takes into account humanitarian and social considerations and contributes to enhancing their psychological stability, in accordance with the approved regulations.
