A literary journey through time marks Aspire Indian International School’s Annual Day

Aspire Indian International School marked its Annual Day Celebration 2025–26 on December 21 with an evening of grandeur, creativity and intellectual richness, showcasing the school’s commitment to holistic and experiential learning.

The program began on a dignified note with the playing of the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by a soulful recitation from the Holy Qur’an, setting a solemn and auspicious tone for the celebrations. A graceful floral welcome ceremony ensued, symbolizing warmth, respect and gratitude.

The occasion was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Chairman K. O. Mathew, Ms. Leelamma and family members, Ms. Stephine Mathew, Head of Sustainability and Strategic Growth, Corporate Manager Sundaram, Subin Sebastian, General Manager of Stellar Education, Toby Matthew, Activity Director of DAS Schools, principals and vice principals of sister schools, Islam, School Relationship Manager at the British Council, Dr. Navnit Gandhi, and other honored guests. Their presence added prestige and encouragement to the celebration.

The program drew inspiration from the visionary leadership of the Principal, Dr. Geetika Ahuja, whose concept of bringing literature alive beyond textbooks shaped the central theme, “The Timeless Tapestry of English Literature.” The original script and narrative framework were conceptualized and written by Ms. Subi Dalbin, Head of English (IGCSE), under the guidance of the Principal, translating the vision into a cohesive and engaging literary production.

The celebration unfolded as a captivating journey through the Elizabethan, Revival and Victorian eras, blending drama, dance, poetry, music and narration. Students delivered remarkable portrayals of literary icons William Shakespeare, William Wordsworth and George Bernard Shaw, while the “Time Machine of Literature” emerged as a powerful theatrical metaphor connecting centuries of thought and expression.

Exceptional performances, seamless transitions and striking visual presentations reflected the tireless efforts of teachers, choreographers, program coordinators, technical teams and support staff.

Vice Principal Ms. Husena played a pivotal role in the program’s success, contributing through her creative vision, continuous support and refined aesthetic sense, which helped shape the visual identity and overall coherence of the event.

The evening concluded with an elegant Curtain Call, celebrating teamwork, creativity and student excellence. The Annual Day Celebration stood as a memorable testament to Aspire Indian International School’s dedication to artistic expression, experiential learning and comprehensive education.
