Al-Mutlaa residents to benefit from expanded fresh water supply

In a move to meet the growing demand for fresh water in Al-Mutlaa, informed sources from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy have revealed that the number of water tanker outlets at the temporary Al-Mutlaa station will increase from two to seven.
The ministry is coordinating with its Water Projects and Customer Service sectors to connect the temporary station to a main water line with larger capacity.
Officials expect the work to be completed by next Monday. The process of connecting the new line may require 8 to 10 hours, during which the station’s operations will be temporarily halted, reports Al-Rai daily.
The project is receiving close oversight from Minister Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, who stressed the importance of ensuring that residents of Al-Mutlaa have reliable access to fresh water.
Meanwhile, the Water Projects Sector is nearing completion of an extension of the main water lines supplying Al-Mutlaa City.
Sources noted that the ministry is awaiting regulatory approval to award the water pumping station project in the region. Once completed, the integrated system — which includes feed lines, towers, and a pumping station — will be fully operational, with water expected to be delivered to Al-Mutlaa City by 2029.
Ministry officials reiterated their commitment to providing essential services to residents in Kuwait’s new housing areas.
