Army chief visits 6th Mechanized Liberation Brigade, stresses combat readiness

The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Shuraian, visited the 6th Mechanized Liberation Brigade in a move aimed at reviewing operational readiness and enhancing combat capabilities.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Brigadier General Hamad Ahmed Al-Suwaidi, Commander of the Land Forces, along with officers from the brigade, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Guard, reports Al-Rai daily.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff received a detailed briefing on the history, organizational structure, operational roles, and training programs of the brigade, highlighting mechanisms for raising the combat efficiency of its personnel.
He also toured an arms exhibition featuring equipment and vehicles from the land, sea, and air forces, as well as air defense units, medical services, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Guard, reflecting the level of coordination and integration among Kuwait’s military and security agencies.

The visit included a field exercise conducted by the 6th Mechanized Liberation Brigade with support from Air Force aircraft.
The exercise tested command and control procedures, coordination between ground and air units, and tactical operations simulating real-world scenarios, aiming to enhance combat efficiency, operational planning, and teamwork among participating units.
Lieutenant General Al-Shuraian emphasized that modern warfare and evolving threats require continuous development of joint training programs between the Army, Ministry of Interior, and National Guard.
He noted that realistic exercises and inter-agency coordination are vital to maintaining readiness, combat capabilities, and the security of the nation.
He praised the efforts of the brigade’s personnel and participating units, urging continued vigilance, teamwork, and commitment to ensuring the stability and safety of the homeland.
The visit was attended by senior officers and commanders from the Army, Ministry of Interior, and National Guard.
