MPW teams continue field inspections to prevent rainwater accumulation
Emergency crews on standby 24x7 to ensure drainage networks are not clogged and roads remain clear for smooth traffic movement

The Ministry of Public Works said on Thursday that the ministry’s emergency teams continue to conduct field inspections across various locations to ensure rainwater has not accumulated following the recent unstable weather conditions.
Ministry spokesperson Eng. Ahmed Al-Saleh stated the teams are maintaining their round-the-clock vigil even after the rainfall has subsided.
Their work includes checking all drainage outlets, assessing their efficiency, and ensuring full preparedness for any upcoming weather systems.
Al-Saleh stressed that the inspections are part of the ministry’s precautionary measures to prevent flooding, maintain road safety, and support the smooth flow of traffic during the rainy season.
He also urged motorists to drive cautiously, especially in areas that witnessed heavy rainfall, and to strictly follow the safety instructions issued by the Ministry of Interior.
The ministry affirmed its commitment to responding swiftly to any reports of water accumulation and ensuring that emergency crews remain fully equipped throughout the season.
