Minister of Commerce and Industry forms transitional committee

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Al-Joaan, has formed a transitional committee tasked with assuming the full authority of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Board of Directors.

Heading this committee is Professor of Law Dr. Muhammad Al-Faili, alongside with the Undersecretary of Commerce, Abdullah Al-Afasi; the current Undersecretary, Ziyad Al-Najem; the Acting Director of the Public Authority for Industry, Muhammad Al-Adwani; the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Salem Al-Rashidi and Khaled Al-Duwaikh, representing “Small Projects” as members.

The committee will take on all responsibilities of the Chamber’s Board of Directors until the election of a new Board. This includes taking possession of the Chamber’s headquarters and all relevant administrative and financial documents.

Additionally, the committee will be responsible for formulating the draft executive regulations of the law, subject to the Minister’s approval, and issuing the requisite decisions and regulations to facilitate its operations.
