Shaastrotsav 2025 electrifies Kuwait: Mega science festival ignited curiosity across generations
Young genius sparks awe: AI prodigy leads Kuwait’s biggest community science festival

- Shaastrotsav 2025, Kuwait’s premier science festival, captivated thousands with robots, AI demonstrations, and holograms, uniting students, universities, and tech enthusiasts. Highlighted by teen AI prodigy Raul John Aju, the event celebrated innovation, youth talent, and the future of science.
The 11th edition of Shaastrotsav, the grand science festival organized by the Palakkad NSS Engineering College Alumni Association (Kuwait Chapter), attracted an impressive crowd transforming the Radisson Blu Hotel’s Al Hashemi Ballroom in Salwa into a vibrant center of science and technology on Friday, November 28.

The mega event witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with visitors from various schools, universities, and the wider community.
The day’s proceedings opened with a grand Science Project Competition & Exhibition featuring various schools and universities across Kuwait. This was followed by the formal inauguration at 3 pm, which included ceremonial lamp lighting and an address by Chief Guest Dr. Bülent Yilmaz, Dean of GUST Kuwait.

Addressing the gathering, Alumni President Prem Shekhar, Event Convener Shemej Kumar, KEF GC Ganga Prasad, and Guest of Honor Mohammed Saeed Al Ajmi (Head of Safety Inspection, PAM Kuwait) spoke about the importance of platforms like Shaastrotsav in inspiring young minds and nurturing future innovators. The ceremony also included the release of souvenir designed for this year’s edition of Shaastrotsav.

A major attraction of Shaastrotsav 2025 was the keynote session delivered by Raul John Aju, popularly known as ‘AI Kid of India’. At just 16, he has already made a mark as an AI prodigy, the founder of ‘AI Realm Technologies, and a three-time TEDx speaker.

From building robots at the age of 12 to teaching thousands globally, he has developed multiple AI tools and currently collaborates with the Kerala and Dubai governments on Project ‘JustEase’, an AI powered legal platform.

His interactive session with the audience featuring live presentation on AI concepts captivated both young learners and adults. His session was engaging and informative in motivating the children how to use AI in its most beneficial and harmless ways, underlining his key message of using technology to make the world a better place without losing humanity.

This year’s Shaastrotsav featured a wide range of innovation-driven segments, including expert talks, live shows, and technology demonstrations, attracting large numbers of science enthusiasts across Kuwait.
A short play titled “Robo Cop,” featuring robots as characters on stage for the first time in the Gulf region, offered a unique experience and received widespread appreciation from the audience. A hologram shows and drone demonstration presented by Zain Tech further added to the excitement.

A variety of competitions — including Science Project Competitions for school and university students, Rubik’s Cube contests, and Robotics challenges — were also conducted as part of the festival. Students from 12 schools, including Indian and bilingual institutions in Kuwait, participated in the science exhibition. University participants rep resented Kuwait University, GUST, the Australian University of Kuwait, and several other institutions.
