Kuwait backs modern, digitally driven judicial reforms at Riyadh Summit

The two-day conference brought together more than 4,000 participants and 50 speakers representing over 40 countries

The Ministry of Justice confirmed on Tuesday that Kuwait’s participation in the Second International Judicial Conference in Riyadh reflects the country’s firm commitment to strengthening international judicial cooperation and promoting the exchange of expertise.

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Awatif Al-Sanad, said in a statement following the conclusion of the two-day event that Kuwait’s presence underscores its support for modern approaches aimed at developing the judicial system, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Sanad noted that the conference is among the most prominent specialized platforms addressing legislative advancement, the enhancement of judicial procedures, and the future of digital transformation in the justice sector.

She explained that the program featured a series of sessions and workshops with experts from various countries, who examined key themes such as updating legislation to keep pace with contemporary developments, improving the quality and efficiency of judicial services, and advancing technical and digital initiatives within judicial work.

Through its participation, she added, Kuwait continues to support efforts to modernize the justice system in alignment with state priorities to elevate government services and adopt best judicial practices at both regional and international levels.

Al-Sanad expressed her sincere gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—for the exceptional hospitality, distinguished organization, and pioneering efforts that contributed to the success of this major international judicial gathering.

The two-day conference brought together more than 4,000 participants and 50 speakers representing over 40 countries. It featured high-level discussions on the future of judicial quality, the role of legislation in reinforcing it, and the impact of these developments on beneficiaries, in addition to highlighting international experiences in advancing judicial systems.
