‘Pay no heed to fake messages’: MEW

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has confirmed that circulating text messages claiming to request payment of electricity and water bills are fraudulent and have no connection to the ministry.

Authorities cautioned the public, saying: “These messages are fake and have no relation to the ministry whatsoever,” urging residents to disregard them and avoid responding, reports Al-Qabas daily.
