The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the State of Kuwait. This historic milestone symbolizes half a century of friendship, mutual respect, and fruitful cooperation built upon shared values and a commitment to peace, stability, and development.
Since the inauguration of diplomatic ties in 1975, Mongolia and Kuwait have continually strengthened their partnership, maintained excellent political relations and engaged in productive collaboration across numerous sectors.

The relations between the two nations have been characterized by frequent high-level exchanges, active political dialogue, and constructive cooperation within international and regional frameworks as well as excellent cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, which has played a significant role in supporting Mongolia’s socio-economic progress through concessional loans and development assistance for major national infrastructure projects.
In recent years, relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the State of Kuwait have steadily expanded in the fields of transportation, sports, culture, tourism, and, most importantly, the food security sector, following Mongolia’s commencement of meat exports to Kuwait in October 2024.

Furthermore, on January 18, Mongolia and Kuwait signed an “Air Service Agreement,” establishing a legal framework to launch direct flights between the two countries, which is expected to further strengthen cooperation across all possible areas.
To commemorate this auspicious occasion, alongside the celebration of 101st anniversary of the Proclamation Day of Mongolia, the Embassy of Mongolia to the State of Kuwait will organize a Grand Reception, accompanied by a Mongolian traditional cultural folklore performance by Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Arts and a Mongolian fashion show. The event will be held on December 7, 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kuwait City.

The guests will have the opportunity to experience Mongolia’s unique music, dance, and traditional costumes, offering a vivid insight into the nomadic spirit and cultural identity of the Mongolian people.
Following the Grand reception, the Embassy of Mongolia is planning to organize Mongolian traditional food show and a horse race competition named after Mongolia in December 2025.
