Bedoun in police custody, caught with 50 kilograms of hashish

The Criminal Execution Department of the General Department for the Execution of Sentences, in coordination with the General Department for Drug Control, seized approximately 50 kilograms of hashish during a security operation in the Fahaheel area.

The arrest came following a tip-off from a police agent that an individual was trafficking in narcotics. Upon verification, a joint security team was formed to conduct search and investigation operations.

The efforts led to the arrest of the suspect, who was found in possession of two bags containing the narcotic substance. Examination confirmed that the bags contained about 50 kilograms of hashish, prepared for distribution, reports Al-Rai daily.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to buying the drugs for 3,000 Kuwaiti dinars, on behalf of a Kuwaiti citizen whom is believed to be fugitive criminal currently living abroad and wanted in multiple drug trafficking cases.

The accused and the seized narcotics were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal procedures.

This operation underscores the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking and protect society from the dangers of illegal drugs.
