Civil Information Authority Employees Jailed for Address Forgery and Bribery
The Public Authority for Civil Information has seen two of its employees and a representative sentenced to five years in prison on charges of forgery. Additionally, an accountant and a company representative have been sentenced to three years in prison for fraud.

The Criminal Court, headed by Counselor Abdulwahab Al-Maili, has sentenced two employees of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) and an expatriate representative to five years in prison, and an accountant and a company representative to three years in prison with labor and execution, on charges of forgery, bribery, and falsifying official documents.
The defendants were found guilty of manipulating address-change transactions, updating housing information, and issuing civil ID cards in exchange for bribes. Investigations revealed they had also forged fake lease contracts using the addresses of unsuspecting citizens, unlawfully transferring names to those addresses without the owners’ knowledge.
