55 citations issued, arrested 23 violators of residence and labor laws in joint traffic, legal campaign in Jleeb

In a coordinated effort with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Interior carried out a focused traffic inspection campaign at industrial workshops in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, which led to recording of 55 traffic violations and the arrest of 23 individuals for breaches of residency and labor regulations.

A press release from the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday stated that the campaign aims to reduce violations, enforce traffic discipline, and uphold public safety, with legal action planned against offenders, including potential deportation, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued seven citations to workshops failing to comply with regulations, while the Kuwait Municipality registered eight citations for illegal exploitation of public spaces.

Authorities emphasized that these efforts are part of a broader commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements across all sectors.

Officials noted that such campaigns strengthen traffic safety and regulatory compliance, highlighting the importance of coordinated action among government bodies.

The campaign also serves as a deterrent against future violations, signaling that authorities will continue monitoring industrial and commercial areas for adherence to the law.

The ministries affirmed their intention to conduct similar inspections in other regions, ensuring comprehensive enforcement and protection of public order throughout Kuwait.
