Holiday Inn Salmiya celebrates 20 years of togetherness, tradition, and hospitality

In a night filled with music, nostalgia, and heartfelt celebration, Holiday Inn Salmiya marked a major milestone — its 20th anniversary — with an elegant ceremony that brought together distinguished guests, partners, and staff. The event, held at the hotel premises to the captivating rhythms of traditional Oriental tunes, reflected two decades of dedication, growth, and success in Kuwait’s hospitality industry.

To the enchanting tunes of traditional Oriental music, the Holiday Inn Salmiya held a special celebration the night before last to mark the 20th anniversary of the hotel’s opening, in the presence of distinguished guests.

On this occasion, the hotel’s General Manager, Saif Al-Din Mohamed, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and expressed his gratitude to everyone for joining the hotel staff in celebrating what he described as a remarkable milestone.

Mohamed said: “This is the story of a place whose journey began many years ago. Our story started in 2005, when this building was first developed as a residential complex. Years later, the vision to transform it into a hotel became one of the most strategic and forward-thinking decisions ever made.”

He went on to say, “Today, Holiday Inn & Suites Salmiya Kuwait stands as a distinguished landmark and a premier destination offering genuine hospitality and a wide range of services. With its prime location, excellent facilities, and a dedicated team, our hotel continues to serve guests with excellence and contribute to the growth of Kuwait’s tourism sector.”

He added: “Tonight, we celebrate our team, our investors, colleagues, esteemed partners, and wonderful guests — all of whom share with us something truly special.”

He concluded by saying: “We wish you many more years of success — as owners, colleagues, partners, and guests — united as one big family.”

The evening featured a rich buffet offering a variety of Oriental, Asian, and Arabic dishes. The hotel management also made sure to serve authentic Arabic coffee, reflecting Kuwait’s deep-rooted traditions of hospitality and warm reception.
