Expat ordered to pay 5,000 dinars for blackmailing Fashionista

The Criminal Court has ordered an expatriate to pay 5,000 dinars in fines to a well-known fashionista, ordered the confiscation of his mobile phone and deletion of all photos he may have stored elsewhere after finding him guilty of blackmailing her.

According to the case details, the victim filed a complaint against the accused after discovering that he had deceived her by claiming to be Kuwaiti and proposing to marry her following a romantic relationship. When she decided to end the relationship, he threatened to publish her personal photos online if she did not come back to him.

The accused was subsequently arrested, and during interrogation, he admitted to the charges filed against him before the court. The ruling emphasized the seriousness of blackmail crimes, particularly those exploiting personal relationships and social media influence.
