Nazaha refers government official and sports federation board member to Prosecution

. . . over suspicion of filing false financial disclosure

The Public Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) said it has referred a government official and a board member of a sports federation to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of submitting an inaccurate financial disclosure statement.

This came after Nazaha lay emphasis on the importance of all individuals subject to financial disclosure laws, strict adherence to accuracy and timeliness when submitting their declarations, reports Al-Rai daily.

The authority reaffirmed that compliance with these obligations is both a legal and ethical duty, essential for protecting public funds, upholding transparency and integrity, and strengthening public trust in state institutions.
