Dr. Al-Mashaan highlights major Abdali Road maintenance to boost infrastructure quality

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan stated that the ministry is carrying out extensive maintenance across the road network, with major work currently in progress on Abdali Road, to improve infrastructure and elevate road quality to the highest technical standards.

The Minister emphasized that field teams are continuously monitoring progress, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and the use of high-quality paving materials.

Engineer Abdullah Al-Qallaf added the technical teams are on-site today to review the progress of work under the new maintenance contracts.

He noted that the work includes laying a Type 1 asphalt towards the Abdali border crossing, while a Type 3 asphalt layer has been completed along the 12-kilometre stretch from the Abdali border crossing to Kuwait City, as part of the ministry’s ongoing plan to improve road safety and develop key roads.
