If an applicant is already nominated and wishes to add an academic certificate, they must cancel the nomination first before submitting the addition request to avoid cancellation.

The graduation date of any academic certificate to be added must fall within the announced registration period, and certificates will be processed accordingly. The decision covers full academic stage certificates, diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, and doctoral degrees.
Job applicants wishing to add an academic certificate must complete the addition process before being nominated for a position to avoid having their nomination canceled, a source at the Civil Service Bureau told Al-Anba newspaper.
The source explained that if an applicant has already been nominated and wants to include an academic certificate, they must first cancel the nomination before submitting a request to add the certificate.
The source stated that the graduation date of any academic certificate to be added must not fall after the end of the announced registration period, noting that certificates will be incorporated in line with the registration timeline.
The decision applies to individuals wishing to add certificates for completing a full academic stage, from literacy up to high school, as well as diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, or doctoral degrees. Applicants must obtain an equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education, specifically from the Private Education Department for certificates from private schools.
Regarding the documents required to add a certificate for completing a full academic stage, the source explained that applicants need a copy of their civil ID or the “My Identity” application, a copy of the academic certificate certified by the Ministry of Education, and an equivalency certificate from the Private Education Department if the certificate is from a private school within Kuwait or from abroad.
For diplomas, bachelor’s, and doctoral degrees obtained from private universities or outside Kuwait, the required documents include a copy of the civil ID, a copy of the academic certificate, the transcript, and an equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education.
The source emphasized that the applicant—or their authorized representative with a valid power of attorney—must complete the procedures to verify the accuracy of the applicant’s information and documents before they are added to the automated systems.
