Kuwait reaffirms commitment to regional dialogue at Munich Security Conference in AlUla

Representative of the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, affirmed that Kuwait’s participation in the Munich Security Conference leaders’ meeting in AlUla reflects the country’s firm commitment to regional dialogue and international cooperation.
Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting, Sheikh Fahad stressed that the conference offers a vital platform to exchange views on regional and global security challenges, particularly in the Middle East.
He highlighted discussions on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, warning that lasting regional stability cannot be achieved under continued Israeli aggression, which also threatens Gulf and regional security, reports Al-Rai daily.
The talks also covered maritime and energy security, weapons of mass destruction, food and water security, and economic challenges.
Sheikh Fahad reiterated Kuwait’s role, under its current GCC presidency, in supporting collective security, unifying Gulf stances, and strengthening international partnerships.
He underscored dialogue and peaceful solutions as the only path to just peace and sustainable development, while expressing gratitude to Saudi Arabia for hosting the gathering in AlUla.
