India is hosting the 12th edition of the championships at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, with over 1,000 athletes from around the world competing in more than 160 track and field events.
Kuwait’s Ambassador to India, Mishal Al-Shemali, met the Kuwaiti Paralympic team, which arrived in New Delhi to compete in the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships, running from September 22 to October 5.
Led by Nasser Al-Ajmi, the delegation includes athletes Nasser Hamoud Faraj and Faisal Mubarak Surour, who will take part in track and field events.
In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Shemali said the participation of Kuwaiti athletes with disabilities highlights their determination and commitment to representing their country at international sporting events. He noted the athletes’ strong will to succeed and wished them success in showcasing Kuwait with pride.
