HH Crown Prince returns from UK visit, sends cable of thanks to Prince William
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the official delegation accompanying him returned to Kuwait at dawn today, following an official visit to the United Kingdom.
The delegation included Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and a number of senior officials.
On the occasion, His Highness the Crown Prince sent a cable of thanks to His Royal Highness Prince William, Prince of Wales and Crown Prince of the United Kingdom, expressing his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended during the visit.
In his message, Sheikh Sabah Khaled highlighted that the visit reflects the strength of the historic ties between Kuwait and the United Kingdom, which date back more than 125 years and are founded on mutual respect, appreciation, and a record of cooperation and joint achievements.
He noted that the discussions and meetings held during the visit offered a valuable opportunity to exchange views on various international issues, and expressed confidence that the outcomes would contribute to deepening strategic relations and broadening areas of partnership between the two friendly countries.
The Crown Prince affirmed Kuwait’s keenness to build on this momentum, under the guidance of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to elevate cooperation to wider horizons that meet the aspirations of both peoples for progress, prosperity, and stability.
Concluding his message, Sheikh Sabah Khaled extended his best wishes to Prince William for health and success, and to the United Kingdom and its people for continued advancement and prosperity.
