Kuwait Stock Exchange closes lower, General Index down 22.63 points

The Kuwait Stock Exchange ended Sunday’s session in negative territory, with the general index falling 22.63 points, or 0.26 percent, to close at 8,755.47.
Trading volume reached 504.3 million shares through 25,825 transactions, with a total value of KD 94.3 million.
The main market index gained 8.16 points, or 0.10 percent, to settle at 8,170.72, on 359.7 million shares traded in 17,910 deals worth KD 46.5 million.
The Premier Market Index declined 31.44 points, or 0.34 percent, closing at 9,333.93, with 144.5 million shares changing hands in 7,915 transactions valued at KD 47.7 million.
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index advanced 38.30 points, or 0.46 percent, to 8,445.30, with 256.4 million shares traded in 10,596 deals worth KD 33.4 million.
Top gainers included KMEFIC, Sukuk, UNICAP, and Tijara, while the main losers were Enjazat, Al Rabita, Napesco, and Marakez.
