The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has unveiled the three official mascots for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19 next year, featuring 48 participating teams, reported Al Anba newspaper.
The mascots, representing the host nations, are inspired by the culture and heritage of Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Canada is represented by Maple the Moose, Mexico by Zayo the Jaguar, and the United States by Clutch the Bald Eagle.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “The three mascots are central to the amazing entertainment we are creating for this edition, which will be a milestone in the history of the tournament, captivating fans and sparking celebrations across North America and around the world.”
He added, “I can already imagine them on children’s shirts, shaking hands with football legends, and appearing in video games played by millions globally—a first in the history of this tournament.”
