KAPP files request to establish Al-Zour North Power company
Once the firm is officially established, the financing contracts with international banks will be signed, a process expected to conclude by the end of this year.

The Al-Zour North Project (Phases II and III), for which KAPP and the winning investor signed the commitment document on August 10, will supply 2,700 megawatts of electricity and 120 million imperial gallons of water to the national grid.
The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has submitted an application to the Ministry of Commerce to establish a company for the Al-Zour North Power Plant Project (Phases II and III), Al Rai newspaper reported.
Sources told the paper that the request followed the completion of all incorporation requirements set by the ministry, adding that once the company is officially established, the financing contracts with international banks will be signed, a process expected to conclude by the end of this year.
