MOI cracks down on traffic violators, 168 offenses recorded in one week

As part of its intensified security and traffic campaigns the Security Control and Traffic Investigations units of the Ministry of Interior, announced September 13 to 20, 2025, scores of motorists were punished for committing various kinds of traffic violations.

During this period, 168 traffic violations recorded, 21 individuals referred to precautionary detention, 36 vehicles and motorcycles impounded, 11 juveniles arrested for driving without licenses, 74 individuals detained for not carrying identification papers, one person referred to the Environment Police and one wanted person was taken into custody, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The Ministry affirmed that security campaigns will continue across all governorates to target reckless drivers and violators. Citizens and residents are urged to cooperate by reporting violations or reckless behavior through the operations room (112), WhatsApp number 99324092, or the “Tawasul” platform to ensure road safety and curb negative behaviors.
