Diamond Jubilee celebrations begin at Kuwait Evangelical Parish
Marking sixty years in Kuwait, the parish launched its year-long programs with a thanksgiving service led by Vicar Rev. Sibi P. J.

The St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India, Kuwait Parish, marked the start of its Diamond Jubilee, celebrating sixty years in Kuwait. The year-long programs were inaugurated on September 5 with a thanksgiving service at KTMCC Hall, NECK, led by parish vicar Rev. Sibi P. J.
Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Abraham, Presiding Bishop of the Church, attended as the chief guest. He officially opened the Jubilee celebrations and extended his guidance and blessings to the congregation.
As part of the event, the parish’s various Jubilee projects were presented by the General Convener, Mr. Kuruvilla Cherian. The Jubilee theme, “God’s Faithfulness Through Generations,” along with the logo, was released during the inaugural session. Parish members who completed 25 years of association with the parish during their expatriate life were honored.
The parish also honored the Presiding Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Abraham, for completing 40 years of priestly ministry. In addition, Rexy Cherian, Lins Varghese, and Linu P. Manikunj, who created and presented the Jubilee logo and theme song, were felicitated.
The first contributions toward the Jubilee Project were handed over to the Presiding Bishop by Mr. George Varughese and Mr. Thomas John.
Rev. Binu Abraham (President, KECF), Rev. K. C. George, Mr. Roy K. Yohannan (Secretary, NECK), Mr. Varghese Mathew (President, KTMCC), Mr. Ajos Mathew (Secretary, KTMCC), Mr. Saju Vazhayil Thomas (Member, NECK Common Council), and Mr. George Varughese (Lay Trustee of the Church) conveyed their greetings.
The parish choir, led by Mr. Linu P. Manikunj, presented devotional songs. Mr. Sijumon Abraham delivered the welcome address, and Mr. Biju Samuel gave the vote of thanks.
