Kuwait ranks among the world’s least sleeping nations

Kuwait ranked fifth globally among countries with the lowest average sleep hours, according to statistics published by the World Population Review.

The data showed that Kuwaitis sleep an average of 6 hours and 15 minutes daily, or 375 minutes, with the average sleep time starting at 12:14 am and ending at 8:01 am.

The report covered 50 countries worldwide, dividing them into 11 categories based on daily sleep duration. Japan topped the list with the least sleep at 5 hours and 52 minutes, followed by Saudi Arabia and South Korea at 6 hours and 2 minutes, and the Philippines at 6 hours and 8 minutes.

On the other end of the spectrum, New Zealand led the world with the longest sleep average of 7 hours and 27 minutes, followed by the Netherlands (7 hours and 24 minutes), Finland (7 hours and 23 minutes), Britain (7 hours and 22 minutes), and Australia (7 hours and 20 minutes).

This places Kuwait in the category of nations experiencing some of the shortest sleep durations globally, highlighting lifestyle and health challenges linked to limited rest.
