PM calls for accelerated recycling of used tires to protect environment

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah chaired a meeting today at Bayan Palace, which was attended by Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Abdullatif Al-Mishari, and Minister of Oil Tareq Al-Roumi.

The meeting focused on the mechanisms implemented by the concerned authorities to ensure optimal benefit from used tires, promote environmental protection through recycling, and secure financial returns for the state treasury.

His Highness emphasized the need to accelerate efforts to reuse used tires by adopting innovative industrial solutions across all stages of recycling, while maintaining the safety and quality of Kuwait’s ecosystems.

The meeting was also attended by Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Abdulaziz Al-Dakhil, Head of the Fatwa and Legislation Department Salah Al-Majed, and senior officials from the Kuwait Municipality, Environment Public Authority, and Public Authority for Industry.
