Al-Mutairi unveils new tourism, media, and cultural initiatives to advance Kuwait Vision 2035

Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has announced upcoming initiatives and projects aimed at boosting tourism and entertainment in Kuwait.
In a meeting with ministry leaders, Al-Mutairi reviewed key projects that will be unveiled in mid-September.
Among them is the national project “Leadership by Will”, which seeks to highlight the determination of the Kuwaiti people in achieving leadership across various fields, while also celebrating the legacy of forefathers and the contributions of successive generations in building the nation, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The meeting also addressed preparations for the launch of a new identity for the news channel along with a redesigned programming schedule, both set to debut in early October. According to the ministry, this step reflects its commitment to strengthening media professionalism, improving content quality, and keeping pace with global media trends.
Another focus was the Visit Kuwait platform, which is being developed as a cornerstone for enhancing the tourism sector, encouraging cultural and entertainment activities, and positioning tourism as a driver of the national economy.
Plans include greater coordination with various stakeholders and a marketing strategy that leverages digital platforms and social media to promote Kuwait’s tourism offerings.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of private sector partnerships in implementing these initiatives, noting that their expertise and investments in media, artistic, and technical production will help modernize infrastructure, improve output quality, and create opportunities for Kuwaiti youth in the fields of media and creativity.
The statement underlined that these efforts fall within the broader vision of harnessing media to support comprehensive development, strengthen Kuwait’s cultural and tourism profile, and align with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.
