Tokyo MOU report honors KOTC with ‘High Performance Ranking’ title

The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) has been listed among the high-performance countries by the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding for the period 2022–2024 in the latest issue of the Flag State Performance List

KOTC said this achievement adds to its long record of accomplishments and reflects Kuwait’s reputation in international maritime forums.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency, KOTC explained that 30 inspections were conducted on vessels registered under the Kuwaiti flag, with no detentions recorded during any of the evaluations. As a result, Kuwait has been classified among the high-performing countries on the list.

The company attributed this success to the operational excellence of its fleet, which represents the vast majority of ships registered under the Kuwaiti flag. KOTC expressed pride in the recognition, emphasizing its commitment to the highest standards of quality, maintenance, operation, and compliance.
