MPW expands advanced treated water supply to boost sustainability, irrigation

The Ministry of Public Works reported that in July, the consumption of quaternary treated water reached 11,639,330 cubic meters, while tertiary treated water usage was 777,377 cubic meters.
According to the ministry, the production and use of both quaternary and tertiary treated water aim to preserve the environment by promoting the reuse of treated wastewater and supporting projects in irrigation, agriculture, and green spaces, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The ministry highlighted that MPW treatment plants employ cutting-edge global technologies to ensure high water quality and safety.
An expansion plan is also underway to meet the rising demand for treated water across the development and agricultural sectors, contributing to water security and the sustainable management of natural resources.
