Kuwait yet again braces for scorching hot and humid weekend

The Meteorological Department has forecast a very hot weekend across the country, with nights expected to be hot to relatively humid, especially along the coast.

Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency that a relatively hot and humid air mass will begin affecting the country on Friday, with the possibility of light fog forming late at night and early morning in some areas, particularly the coastal regions.

Thursday’s weather will be very hot, with northwesterly to variable light-to-moderate winds blowing at 8–38 km/h. Some high clouds are expected, and maximum temperatures will range from 47°C to 49°C. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves reaching 1–5 feet. Nighttime conditions will remain hot, with variable northwesterly winds at 8–28 km/h and minimum temperatures between 32°C and 34°C, reports Al-Rai daily.

Friday will bring very hot and relatively humid weather, particularly in coastal areas, with winds shifting from northwesterly to southeasterly at 10–38 km/h. Maximum temperatures will hover between 46°C and 48°C, with light to moderate waves of 2–5 feet.

During the night, hot and humid conditions will persist, with southeasterly variable winds at 6–28 km/h. Light fog may develop in some coastal regions, with lows between 29°C and 31°C.

Saturday’s weather will remain very hot and relatively humid, especially along the coast. Variable southeasterly winds at 8–35 km/h will accompany scattered clouds, and highs will range from 45°C to 47°C.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy, hot, and relatively humid, with northwesterly winds at 8–30 km/h and minimum temperatures between 31°C and 33°C.
