Govt restores Al-Khairan Old House

The historic Al-Khairan Old House has reopened its doors following a comprehensive rehabilitation project.

The event was held under the patronage of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in the presence of the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) CEO Ahmad Al-Aidan, and Deputy CEO for Exploration and Drilling Khaled Al-Mulla.

Co-sponsored by KOC and several partner organizations, the initiative brought together key stakeholders, including the General Directorate of Coast Guard, the Abu Jarrah Volunteer Team, the National Petroleum Services Company (NAPESCO), and the Gulf Drilling and Maintenance Company (GDMC).

In a post on its X account, KOC stated the Governor expressed his joy at the completion of the project and thanked all contributors, especially KOC, for supporting the initiative.

Al-Aidan reaffirmed KOC’s commitment to projects that serve Kuwait’s development, extending gratitude to the Governor for his leadership and to NAPESCO and GDMC for their contributions.

Earlier, the old road leading to the site was a narrow, single-lane route in poor condition, making passage difficult.

The project involved expanding it into six lanes, completed within three weeks, thanks to close cooperation among all participating parties.
