Government to rehire ‘noble deeds’ employees with reduced entitlements

The Civil Service Commission has instructed all government institutions to terminate the current employment of persons whose Kuwaiti citizenships were revoked under Article 5, known as the “noble deeds” provision.

The directive, however, includes a provision for rehiring these employees under new contractual terms.

The Al-Rai daily quoting sources said, the government agencies will reinstate these individuals with standardized contracts and unified benefits, as per the CSC guidelines.

While the reinstatement ensures continuity of service, the new employment terms will not match the benefits granted to Kuwaiti nationals.
