‘Be among the outstanding’ Kuwaiti students explore Tunisia
The student delegation participating in the “Be Among the Outstanding” program embarked on the thirteenth organized trip to Tunisia, exploring various historical and cultural landmarks as well as Kuwait Fund for Development-funded projects.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the students visited the capital’s old city, Carthage, where they prayed at the Zitouna Mosque. The second day included a visit to Kasbah Square, experiencing the National Monument, sampling renowned Tunisian sweets, and exploring vibrant markets.
Expressing their admiration for Tunisia, the students noted its captivating beauty and nature, exceeding expectations. They particularly highlighted the ancient architectural marvels, such as the Zaytouna Mosque, representing Tunisia’s rich civilization.
The delegation also visited the gas compression station in Zaghouan, fully financed by the Fund, benefiting over 10,000 Tunisian families by transporting 50% of the country’s gas to remote areas. The day concluded with a visit to the tourist city of Yasmine Hammamet, known for its beauty and inviting atmosphere.
Simultaneously, the female student delegation explored heritage and recreational landmarks in Vietnam. They visited Ninh Binh, a city in northern Vietnam, renowned for its natural scenery, mountains, forests, and archaeological sites.
The students enjoyed a boat trip on the Trang Han River, passing through caves with suspended salts. The delegation also toured Dabak Province, witnessing the multi-purpose rural development project funded by the Kuwaiti Fund. Dao Trang Dat, the project’s deputy director, explained its positive impact, emphasizing elements like a school with 25 classrooms accommodating 400 students and a concrete-paved internal village road.
Reflecting on the experience, student Shajoun Al-Anazi expressed pride in the Kuwaiti Fund’s achievements and development contributions, stating, “The trip instilled in us a love of doing good, and I am very proud of the Kuwaiti Fund’s achievements and its development contributions to countries. I also feel proud that Kuwait left a humanitarian imprint in the country of Vietnam.”
