MOI outlines strict procedure for vehicle paint modifications

The Operations Sector of General Traffic Department Ministry has released a comprehensive five-step guide for individuals seeking to legally change their vehicle’s color in the country.

According to the official procedure, the steps are as follows:

• Visit the Standards Section at the Technical Inspection Department.
• Obtain approval and sign a formal pledge.
• Go to a licensed and authorized workshop to carry out the color change.
• Return to the Standards Section for official approval of the new color.
• Visit the Vehicles Department to issue a new registration book reflecting the updated vehicle color.

The Traffic Sector stressed that unauthorized color changes — those made without prior approval — are strictly forbidden and will result in financial penalties.
